A Closer Look: Property Of... Amsterdam

Property Of... is more than just a bag and accessory brand. Its flagship boutique, located in a picturesque neighbourhood in Amsterdam, is a lifestyle destination that serves up strong espressos and tasty croissants, alongside a well-curated range of magazines that customers are free to peruse. It's no surprise then that the boutique sports a look that can be mistaken for a French brasserie - tiled floors, a solid wooden bar, mirrored walls, as well as perfectly weathered benches and stools.

An incongruous concept you might say? Not quite. In Singapore, where the brand is originally from, the retail ideals of the company is "influenced and shaped by the culture of cafes which it owns and operates (PS. Cafe)... the daily changing cast of characters, the activities, events and 'life' that unfolds within an urban oasis are a constant source of ideas and inspiration."

Property Of... Sam Cycle Bag

If you've been following my blog for the past few years, you'll notice that one of the places I frequent in Singapore is PS. Cafe - an institution in the country's F&B industry that boasts some of the most beautiful restaurants around, alongside inventive dishes, cocktails and dining concepts.

However, PS. Cafe is no one-trick-pony. More than just a restaurant, the company also has a range of beautifully crafted bags and accessories called Property Of..., which are perfect for the modern gentleman. Crafted from the finest vegetable-tanned leathers, waxcloth or distressed cotton canvas, the products are becoming increasingly popular all over the world - from Singapore, Tokyo, Amsterdam and even the United States.

One of the label's most sought after models is the Sam Cycle Bag. This classic bag can go from the office to the gym, thanks to its utilitarian look and features. Since it can fit a 15-inch laptop, as well as a change of clothes for the gym (and everything else in between), the Sam Cycle Bag could pretty much be the only bag city slickers will ever need.

The Sam Cycle Bag is made of durable waxed cotton canvas

Heavy leather trims give this otherwise understated bag a jolt of attitude
