Back from Manila

So I've been MIA for a couple of days. The reason behind this was I went to Manila for a short break. It was great catching up with family and friends. Here are a couple of pictures. And yes, I'm in them. I figured I've been very elusive and hardly show my face.

Dinner at Lusso with Cholo and Ram.

It was great catching up with friends.

Seeing their smiles made me realize how much I missed them.

Also had the opportunity to come up with fantastic ideas with these guys which will become a reality soon enough. Keeping my fingers tightly crossed!

Manila: Waterworld

My heart is breaking. My beloved city was literally transformed into a waterworld last Saturday, September 26, 2009, because of a terrible storm and merciless flooding. Many families have lost their homes, cars and other belongings. There are dozens of casualties and some individuals are still missing.

Right now, let's do all we can to help. A little will surely go a long way.

From Trio Multi Label:
We can help by collecting your donations - clothes, canned goods, rice, blankets, etc. Please drop them to any of the stores (Paul Smith in Greenbelt 5 and Shangri-La Mall/Ben Sherman Shangri-La) and we will deliver them to the relief center in Ateneo and Victory Fellowship.

From Ayala Foundation:
We have started a relief operation for Typhoon Ondoy victims. 1. Cash Donations. For those who wish to make cash donations, we are coursing this through the Ayala Foundation. Please deposit your cash donations to BPI Acct. # 0011149022.

For those who wish to make donations in kind (rice, canned goods, clothing, blankets, etc.), AyalaLand has kindly made arrangements to accept these at Ayala Malls. Please drop these off at the Concierge stands at Trinoma, Glorietta, Greenbelt, Alabang Town Center, and Market Market. For those who wish to volunteer to pack and/or distribute goods, Ayala Foundation is doing a relief operation.

Other options:
Donate (Drop Off Points) for relief goods ALL 7-11 convenience stores, Shell gas stations, Total gas stations, Petron gas stations, Jollibee branches in Metro Manila McDonalds branches in Metro Manila

LUZON RELIEF is NOW OPEN // 2nd Flr., Bramante Bldg., Renaissance Towers, Meralco Ave., Ortigas // Accepting RELIEF DONATIONS

MANILA - Here I Come!

It's been a long and tiring eight months and finally, the day has come for me to fly back to my beloved home, Manila. This vacation will definitely be a good one since I've been working my ass off over here in Singapore and I truly believe that I deserve a nice, long break.

There will be a lot of activities lined up for my visit. My mom was so sweet and planned a nice, little get together with my friends tomorrow night. But before that, I'm going to see my stylist and get a decent haircut.

Some things I'm looking forward to:

Lady Gaga concert!

Manila Design Week event on Monday, August 10 at Greenbelt 5. Let's all go!

Okay, that's all for now. See you in a few hours, Manila!

Manila, I love you!

Photo from here.

It feels sooo good to be back home. The hustle and bustle, the traffic, the noise, and the overall craziness this city has to offer, oh how I've missed it! Of course, I'm extremely happy that I'll be spending the holidays with my dear family and friends while feasting on delicious food and enjoying the relatively cool December air.

I cannot wait to see my best friends!

I cannot wait to visit my former job and catch up with my former colleagues over lunch!

And of course, I'm really happy to be home with my lovely family. No matter where I am in the world, Manila will always be home to me. It always was and forever will be.
